I am 2x Ironman triathlon finisher, member of The Explorers Club, and have worked in brand strategy and visual communications since 1988. Over the years, I've helped create market-leading brands, products and content for many notable companies including Coca-Cola, Instagram, Microsoft and Procter & Gamble.
From 2006-2013, I was recruited to serve as Senior Brand Strategist at Kaiser Permanente, the $60B healthcare company based in Oakland, CA. There I advised organizational leaders, managers and physicians on KP's corporate brand strategy and its implementation into operations, communications and culture.
I am a published author and frequent speaker at conferences including FUSE, Foresight & Trends and The San Diego Film Festival. I serve on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Medical Assistance to Travelers (IAMAT) in Toronto, Canada and also served on the board at The Center for Biological Diversity in Tucson, AZ. I hold two design patents and am award-winning entrepreneur.
I believe having a global perspective and respect for culture is vital for success in today's social media driven marketplace. To this end, I am grateful to have lived abroad, traveled to 48 states and 38 countries on 4 continents. Today, I am the Executive Director at Crewest Studio, the creative communications agency I co-founded in Los Angeles with my business partner, renowned artist Man One.
My favorite brands include: Ace Hotel, Adult Swim, Buffalo Exchange, Cirque du Soleil, Disney, Dr. Bonner's, In-N-Out Burger, Ironman Triathlon, John Varvatos, Netflix, Mayo Clinic, Patagonia, Red Bull, Smvart Wool, SpaceX, Telsa, The Onion and Virgin.
